Leanne and Craig’s wedding was held at Ardoe House Hotel which, as usual, was looking gorgeous. Leanne wanted the perfect fairytale wedding with all her family around her and felt this was the perfect setting for her special day.

Her dream for her wedding was to be a Princess for the day and so, as she said:  ‘Craig stepped up to be my Prince Charming’…..  how romantic!  Leanne has always been a Disney addict and loves going to Disneyland (more on that later!) and watches all the fairytale movies with the happily ever after endings.  She loves pink, and is a very girly girl as you will all see from the photographs…..

Her wonderful princess dress was a Suzanne Neville from Perfect Bridal in Aberdeen, and her cake was a unique design by Fiona Burnett (www.cakesbyfiona.co.uk)., a fairytale castle of course.

Zack, Leanne and Craig’s little son was very much part of the day. He was very shy to start with but gradually began to really enter into the spirit of this great day for them all.

Leanne had TEN bridesmaids which consisted of her two sisters, two nieces, one friend, and five cousins. That wasn’t all! There was also a page boy who Craig called ‘Best Boy’ (being the only one!) and a very beautiful little flower girl who was an angel all day long. This made for some fantastic photo opportunities for my second photographer Jane  (Jane Barclay.com) and I…… so much pink – it was fantastic!

Craig kept us laughing all day as you can see! He and Leanne had moved house one week before the wedding – and even on the Sunday after the wedding they were still moving boxes around their new home!  Despite this, they held a BBQ for Craig’s family. He was so pleased that his cousins had come all the way from Australia especially for the big day.

Finally, after their amazing wedding weekend, the happy couple left for their exciting and epic three week honeymoon in America. They went from New York to Las Vegas and finally Orlando.  Leanne’s parents, who have a house in Florida, had gone there with Zack after the wedding…..hmmm….. I wonder what they all did when they were  in Orlando? I think we can guess!!

THE dress was a limited edition Maggie Sottero from Avorio Bridal in Fochabers – Kim said that everyone who has seen their wedding photos loves the picture of her in her dress at the window at Ardoe (see below!)

Her shoes were amazing too – they were THE wedding shoes from the film Sex and the City (remember, the ones that were left in the wardrobe?)  by Manolo Blahnik……stunning! (All you SATC shoe fanatics can read more here, and here).

Kim and Stuart’s little daughter Megan called the wedding ‘Mummy, Daddy and Megan’s wedding!’ She was such such a good little girl all through the day, and so pretty. Kim told me after the wedding: “All the children that were there made it extra special seeing how happy they were and enjoying themselves.”

My second photographer Jane and I were very touched  when Kim was asked what else she would remember about the day and she told us about her cake.  She said: “Our wedding cake is extremely sentimental to us, Stuart’s mum helped us design it and paid for it, and unfortunately she passed away in November and never got to see the finished cake.”  As you can see below, the cake looked fantastic on the day – it was made by Fiona Barnett from Ellon and I think Stuart’s Mum would have been extremely proud and pleased with it.

Kim went on to say: “Another highlight of the day was the first time Stuart and I got to properly speak to each other after the ceremony and reflect on what we’d just done and that was when we were sipping champagne in the back of the car on the way to Ardoe. Probably the best thing about the day was having all our friends and family together in one room and getting on like a house on fire, which I think you really captured well in the candid shots that you took.”

I laughed when Kim told me how Stuart had proposed -  totally out of the blue on the beach in Aberdeen! Kim was so mortified as he went down on his knees that she  told him to stand up -  and then, because it was such a shock, said she would have to think about it, and didn’t give him an answer until two weeks later. What a nervous time that must have been for Stuart!  True to their romantic nature, they chose the lovely song Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls for their first dance (I like this one too!)  …… and to end this happy tale, Kim and Stuart spent their honeymoon with two blissful weeks in the Maldives whilst Megan had a special holiday in Turkey with her lucky grandparents…..

We have now completed three weddings, and this is my first post to show some of the pictures.

This is Emma and James, who were married at Pittodrie House in March. We braved the cold for just a few minutes to catch some outside images with the hotel and Benachie in the background.
