We are frequently told by clients that “Martin Johnston” photographed many of the the important moments in their family lives, from baby pictures, to birthday portraits, graduations, and of course weddings.
Martin Johnston were an important part of the photographic scene in Aberdeen. Operating for many years from premises in Chapel Street, and later Summer Street, they were responsible for several innovations locally, including colour prints, and returning to the evening reception with prints from the photography of the wedding.
In addition, the owner J. Steve Martin was responsible for training a generation of wedding photographers in Aberdeen (including Graham) in the classic style of photography they produced to such a high standard.
When J. Steve Martin retired recently, we were delighted to adopt the name of “Martin Johnston Photographers”, and to maintain this long established name in photography.
