Well it was another brilliant Summers day at the Marcliffe on Saturday, for the lovely wedding of Nicola and Gary.

Nicola’s mum Sheena has worked at the Marcliffe for many years, so it was time for her to take a well earned break, and enjoy the wedding of her beautiful daughter Nicola!

Nicola looked stunning in her gorgeous Essence of Australia gown, purchased at Perfect Bridal.

Her Bridesmaids Laura and Sarah complimented her perfectly in beautiful lavenderĀ  Sorella Vita dresses.

The perfect finishing touch for Nicola and her Bridesmaids were lovely bouquets provided by florist Dolce Vita.

The guys hired their kilt outfits from Milsom and Main and chose the Grey Crombie.

Guests gathered for the lovely wedding ceremony conducted by Humanist Vanessa Smith, before heading back out into the sunshine to mingle and enjoy drinks and canapes.

It appeared that Laura and Sarah were not the only Bridesmaids at the wedding, as family dog Jess arrived to spend some time with the wedding party and enjoy a little photo shoot of her own!

The dining room at the Marcliffe looked beautiful, and the wedding cake provided by the very talented Cakes by Kirsty was a real show piece.

After a wonderful meal, guests were entertained by talented band Northern Star from Edinburgh.

We wish Nicola and Gary all the best for a lifetime of happiness as Mr and Mrs Mackie!

Saturday brought us to the lovely Raemoir House Hotel for the beautiful wedding of Nicola and Iain.

The couple and their family and friends could not have wished for a more perfect day.
The sun shone and there was not a cloud in the sky.
It was easy to forget that it was still only May in Aberdeen!

Nicola wore a gorgeous Ronald Joyce gown purchased at Perfect Bridal, and looked simply stunning.
Nicola’s bridesmaids Lisa, Sarah, Christina and Georgina wore lovely silver Jenny Packham dresses.
Wow what a beautiful line up they made, finished off with fabulous bouquets from Isla Duncan!

Iain, his best man and groomsmen, looked very handsome indeed in their Black Watch kilt outfits hired from McCalls.

The lovely relaxed ceremony was held in the wonderful marquee at Raemoir and conducted by humanist Rachel Donald.

While we spent some time with our Bride and Groom, family and friends were able to relax in the sunshine, sipping champagne and listening to fabulous live singing provided by Mareesa from the band Soul Inferno, who were due to perform in the evening.

The marquee looked beautiful for the evening meal, decorated by Fairytale events and topped off with more beautiful flowers from Isla Duncan.

After some emotional speeches, and a wonderful meal, it was time to relax into the evening entertainment from Soul Inferno.

We hope Nicola and Iain have a fantastic honeymoon in California, and wish them all the best for a long and wonderful future together!

Saturday saw us at the stunning St Machar’s Cathedral and the Marcliffe with lovely couple Jen and David.
The weather was just perfect, with blue skies and sunshine, along with a touch of lovely Autumn colour.

We first met Jen and David and their lovely baby girl Mirryn at their pre wedding shoot in Stonehaven.
Mirryn was a flower girl at mummy and daddy’s wedding, along with her cousin Cameron, and had grown a lot since we last saw her.
Cousin Harrison was page and completed this cute junior line up!

Jen wore a stunning Ian Stewart gown, which she purchased at Perfect Bridal.
Bridesmaids, sister Gillian, and friends Samantha and Gail, wore lovely sable dresses from Our Day Bridal.

Groom Dave had his kilt outfit made for him at Georgian Dress Hire, and, as Dave hails originally from New Zealand, he very appropriately wore the Pride of New Zealand tartan.
His Groomsmen wore the Pride of Scotland hired from McCalls.

After a lovely ceremony at St Machar’s Cathedral, and time for some photos afterwards, it was off to the Marcliffe to celebrate with family and friends.

Wonderful singer Myke Black entertained guests while we spent a bit more time with bride and groom in and around the Marcliffe.

Piper Aaron Scully piped the couple into the lovely function suite to enjoy a fabulous meal with family and friends.

The function suite had a lovely rustic Autumnal theme.
The cake, provided by Sugar Central, had Autumn leaves cascading down the side, and the macaroon tower, provided by Almondine, was done in lovely Autumn colours.
The tables were named after trees, and the place cards were decorated in Autumn leaves.
Gorgeous floral displays set off the tables beautifully, and were provided by Eden Florist.

Great band, Northern Star provided excellent evening entertainment, while guests also enjoyed the photobooth and the sweetie cart.

It was just the perfect day, enjoyed by all, and we would like to wish Jen, David and Mirryn all the best for a fabulous future!

What an amazing day we had with Beverley and Ryan and their Scottish and Australian families, at the wonderful Fasque Castle on Hogmanay!

Who would have thought that this Scottish lass would meet her future husband whilst back packing in Western Australia!
So fitting that good friend and Bridesmaid Corrie would be the one who helped them to meet, when deciding to go skydiving from a plane, which happened to be flown by Ryan!
The rest is history as they say!

Beverley looked so stunning in her Kenneth Winstone dress from Brides Delight, complimented by her three lovely Bridesmaids, sister Barbara, friends Corrie and Rosie, who wore Maids to measure dresses from Perfect Bridal.

Flowers for the girls were provided by Kirsty at Flower Vogue and looked so beautiful, with lovely Scottish thistles added as well as a touch of Scottish pine!

Ryan and his groomsmen wore the Heather tartan from Georgian Dress Hire.

The wedding ceremony conducted by humanist Laura Craddock, was so very personal, with Beverley and Ryan saying their own vows, which hardly left a dry eye amongst the guests!

A bit of Scottish rain meant that outdoor photos were a bit limited, but there were plenty of beautiful indoor opportunities at Fasque Castle.

Sinclairs Catering provided a beautiful meal for everyone, while speeches were said in between courses.

Evening entertainment was provided by Or Ceilidh Band, and was enjoyed by everyone, but perhaps mostly by the Australian visitors!

Scottish stovies served later in the evening went down very well, as did the winter warmer bar serving hot chocolate, mulled wine and whiskey!
The evening was rounded of perfectly with a fantastic firework display to celebrate midnight, and the dawn of year 2017!

What a wonderful start to the new year! A wedding full of love and tradition!

We wish all the best to Beverley and Ryan as they set off for a life together as Mr and Mrs Pelquest-Hunt!
Enjoy your wonderful honeymoon and future together in Brisbane!

On Saturday we returned to the beautiful Logie Country House with lovely couple Victoria and Gary.

The weather was challenging, with all seasons in one day!
Thankfully, this did not dampen the spirits of our couple, who enjoyed themselves from start to finish, and smiled through a pretty chilly photoshoot!

Victoria looked simply stunning in her gorgeous gown from Perfect Bridal.
Lovely bridesmaids Jade, Bex, Kimmy and flower girl Miley, complimented her perfectly.

Handsome groom Gary had his kilt outfit made for him by Gibbs menswear.

After a lovely ceremony, it was time to dodge showers, and take in all the lovely photo opportunities that Logie has to offer.

Victoria and Gary have a gorgeous dog Hugo, so of course the photos would not have been complete without some lovely shots with him!
And very well behaved he was too!

The ball room had been beautifully decorated by the fantastic three tiers, and had a rustic winter theme. Just perfect!
Victoria and Gary had joined in to create the centre pieces.

The meal was provided by Hudsons catering, and was just superb, as always.

A further bit of fun and sparkle was added to the day, with some evening sparkler fun. Well, it was the 5th of November!!

Fantastic evening entertainment was provided by excellent band, The Sparks. Somewhat appropriate!

The day ran seamlessly as always, thanks to Gillian and the team at Logie, who always go that extra mile!
Well done especially on your fab idea for lighting the sparklers!

We wish Victoria and Gary all the best for a wonderful married life!
