Sarah and Chris at Dornoch Cathedral

Sarah and Chris at Dornoch Cathedral

Sarah was a stunning bride, complimented by her lovely bridesmaids who were sister Judith, and cousins Amanda and Christine..

We headed north at the end of April for the lovely wedding of Sarah and Chris at Dornoch Cathedral.

We had looked forward to shooting at this fabulous venue, and to working with Sarah and Chris for quite a while.
We had previously photographed Chris’s brother Stuart’s wedding to his wife Jacqui.
Since booking with us, Sarah has been a super enthusiastic bride, and her excitement for her wedding was very infectious!

After two weeks of hail and snow before the day, none of us had any idea what the weather would do!
However, things couldn’t have worked out better. A lovely bright day meant that even a trip to the beach was made possible!

Sarah was a stunning bride, complimented by her lovely bridesmaids who were sister Judith, and cousins Amanda and Christine.
Their gorgeous dresses were purchased at Blush Bridal in Fraserburgh.

The handsome groom and groomsmen were kitted out by Millsom and Main.

The ceremony for Sarah and Chris was held in the stunning Dornoch Cathedral, by the lovely Reverend Susan Brown.
It it is well known that Susan baptised pop star Madonna’s son, and officiated at her wedding in 2000!

After the ceremony it was time for a trip to the beautful Dornoch beach with our bride and groom, while guests went off to relax at the Burghfield House Hotel.
Both bride and groom were fantastic sports, putting up with a bit of wind chill, and a bit of climbing while we photographed!

Both meal and reception were held in a beautiful marquee next to the hotel.
The marquee looked stunning, and was decorated with gorgeous green and white lanterns.

After a lovely meal, guests danced the night away to wonderful ceilidh band Monarch Isle.
Very fitting for this wonderful Scottish wedding!

This was a great day spent with such lovely people, and was full of joy and emotion, which you will see shows throughout the day in the photographs!

We wish Sarah and Chris and their lovely families all the best for a long and very happy future!
