What a fabulous wedding day we had with Amber and Barry and their family and friends at Glen Tanar last weekend.

It’s been a while since we photographed a wedding at Glen Tanar, and it was certainly wonderful to be back!

Amber and Barry were a very enthusiastic couple from the first day we met them, and true to form they were just the best sports on the day!

The wedding was so personal and just the perfect mix of fun, laughter and emotion from everyone. You certainly would never have guessed that the rain barely stopped all day!

Amber had mentioned to us what a lovely and helpful coordinator Shona from Glen Tanar had been, and Shona’s commitment and friendship to the couple was evident throughout the day.

Amber looked simply stunning in her wedding gown purchased at Avorio, and her lovely bridesmaids complimented her perfectly in their pale pink dresses.

The girl’s bouquets were just gorgeous and were provided by Flowers by Lesley in Stonehaven. Lesley also provided the lovely table flowers and a stunning floral display in the Ballroom.

The handsome groom and his groomsmen hired their kilt outfits from Georgian Dress Hire.

The wedding ceremony was held in the lovely intimate candlelit setting of St Lesmo Chapel, which is just so full of character. Amber and her Dad were piped in by family friend Daniel.

After the ceremony it was off to the gorgeous lake setting to capture some lovely moments with our bride and groom.

Guests were very well looked after back at the ballroom where they enjoyed refreshments. Going down a storm were Barry’s mum’s home bakes. A particular favourite with a certain photographer was the aero tray bake!

As well as refreshments there was fabulous afternoon entertainment provided by singer Myke Black and Rich Gordon on the sax.

Other lovely personal touches at the wedding included Amber’s Dad’s vintage Jaguar which was the wedding car, his gin bar, whisky barrels and message bike. The beautiful wedding cake was also made by Amber’s brother’s girlfriend Chloe!

Hudson’s Catering provided a fabulous meal and service as always, and the only thing left to do was to dance the night away to the superb band Callenish, who provided a wonderful mix of ceilidh and contemporary music.

We wish this lovely couple all the very best for a fantastic future together, and hope that our photographs will always provide them with a lasting memory of their perfect day!

We were very much looking forward to Chelsea and Bruce’s March wedding, having previously spent time with them and their lovely dog Alfie at their pre wedding shoot at Haddo House. Nothing however could have prepared us all for such a white wedding! The snow barely stopped all day, but Chelsea and Bruce and their lovely friends and family certainly made the most of it, and I expect everyone will be talking about this wedding for a long time!

Chelsea looked stunning in her gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown purchased at Avorio Bridal, and her Bridesmaids complimented her beautifully in their lovely pale blue dresses from Dressage.

The handsome men’s line up wore their own kilts and Bruce and his Dad wore the Cumming tartan.

After a lovely ceremony, guests relaxed together and enjoyed entertainment from Phoenix Magic.

It sure was cold, but it would have been a shame not to get outside to capture some winter wonderland pictures! Chelsea and Bruce were great sports however, and braved the cold with big smiles, and ended the shoot with a huge snowball fight! After all the fun that was had, I don’t think anyone was feeling the cold any more!

After a wonderful meal in the ballroom it was time for some very lively entertainment from superb band Bahookie. This was the perfect end to the perfect day for Chelsea and Bruce. We hope they are having a fabulous time in the Caribbean, having left the snowy North East for a couple of weeks! We wish them all the best for a wonderful future together as Mr and Mrs Cumming.

Our 2019 wedding season got off to a great start with the beautiful wedding of Stephanie and Scott at Banchory Lodge Hotel.

The mood was still festive and the weather was kind. We even had a sprinkling of winter sunshine to add some lovely ambience to the day.

Stephanie looked beautiful in her gorgeous Essence of Australia gown which she purchased at Perfect Bridal.

Bridesmaids Hayley, Lauren and Isla wore lovely navy dresses and complimented her perfectly.

Beautiful bouquets from Azalea florist finished the look for this lovely ladies line up.

Groom Scott wore his own kilt outfit, which is the Ancient Pride of Scotland, and his groomsmen hired from McCalls.

After a lovely personal ceremony conducted by humanist Karen Farquhar, it was time to relax and enjoy drinks and canopes and the company of good friends and family!

Although January, we were able to enjoy a stroll with our couple by the river, where we took some lovely romantic shots before dinner.

After speeches and a wonderful meal, it was time to enjoy evening entertainment provided by band, The Bright Side.

A perfect day with a lovely couple. We wish Stephanie and Scott all the best for a fabulous future together!

We could not have wished for better December weather for the lovely wedding of Claire and Marc in St Andrews.

Both Holy Trinity Church and the Old Course Hotel were looking wonderfully festive, and the bridal party and guests were full of Christmas cheer.

Claire said “yes to the dress”and  looked gorgeous in her Randy Fenoli gown which she purchased at the Bridal Boutique, and was complimented by her lovely Bridesmaids who wore pale blue dresses from Perfect Bridal.

Marc and his groomsmen hired Midnight Granite Kilts from McCalls and made a very handsome line up.

After a lovely ceremony at Holy Trinity, we headed to St Andrews Cathedral for some fabulous moments with Claire and Marc, before heading to the famous Swilken Bridge on the Old Course.

It was wonderful to return to the warmth and festive ambiance of the Old Course Hotel to join family and friends for a fabulous meal.

The ballroom looked amazing having been decorated by Enchanted Events.

Evening entertainment was as lively as always from the talented Big Show, who soon had everyone on the dance floor with  a conga followed by a confetti canon!

Great couple, great wedding and  great crowd. What more could we ask for!

Finally we wish Claire and Marc a fantastic future together as Mr and Mrs Stewart!

It was back to the lovely Ardoe House on Saturday for the wonderful wedding of Sarah and Andrew.

It was a crisp Autumn day with plenty of showers, but thankfully we were able to get out in between, and Sarah was not afraid to get her dress a little bit wet!

Sarah’s gorgeous gown was purchased from Midnight Elegance and the lovely deep pink bridesmaid’s dresses came from Phase 8.

Sarah had four gorgeous little flower girls, and a super cute little page boy Blair. The children were so well behaved, despite have to stand in the cold at times!

Beautiful bouquets from Isla Duncan completed the look and made for a stunning ladies line up!

Groom Andrew wore his own kilt outfit which was the Sinclair tartan, and his groomsmen hired from Highland Scene.

The couple had a lovely relaxed ceremony, which was made even more special, as it was conducted by Humanist Brenda Reid who is Sarah’s Godmother.

North East Events had provided the decor for the ballroom and had created a lovely ambiance.

There were lots of lovely personal touches to the wedding. Family friend Mandy McMurchie had made the beautiful wedding cake. Andrew’s mum had made the lovely gin favours, and the excellent piper was a friend of Sarah’s dad.

The day however would not have been complete without Andrew’s sister’s dog Daisy attending, complete with her corsage. She managed to behave perfectly throughout the whole ceremony! Check her out on instagram under her full name,” Daisy Warrior Princess”. She is quite a star!

Evening entertainment was provided by fabulous band Fusion, and rounded off the perfect day.
