Steph and Darren at Broom Lodge
Steph and Darren have an adorable little girl, Poppy, and she and cousin Charlie, who were clearly just the closest of friends, had the best day ever!
Saturday was a lovely change for us, as we covered the wedding of Steph and Darren at Steph’s family home, Broom Lodge in Inverurie.
This marquee wedding was set in the beautiful grounds of Broom Lodge, as it had always been Steph’s dream to be married at home in this fabulous setting.
Steph and Darren have an adorable little girl, Poppy, and she and cousin Charlie, who were clearly just the closest of friends, had the best day ever!
The lovely relaxed home setting was just perfect for friends and family alike to mix and enjoy each others company.
Steph looked amazing in her Verise gown, which was a romantic and elegant A line gown with embroidered lace and tulle, embellished with pearls and glass beads. She purchased it locally from Midnight Elegance, where she also purchased her lovely silver Christina Wu bridesmaids gowns.
The girls were assisted on the day by Kathy herself, from Midnight Elegance.
The handsome groom and his groomsmen sourced their Hebridean Heather tartan kilt outfits from McCalls.
Bride Steph’s dad Bob and her new husband Darren, are both keen motorbike enthusiasts, so of course the bikes played a part in this lovely wedding day.
The guys enjoyed a fun shoot before the wedding with their motocross bikes, and Steph arrived for the ceremony in style on the back of dad’s Triumph motorbike, which just happens to be a replica of the bike used by Evel Knievel!
Fortunately dad kept both wheels on the ground on this occasion!
Lovely to see these quirky personal touches added to the wedding day.
After a lovely ceremony in one marquee, it was off for some more photo opportunities, before everyone gathered in the large marquee for the evening entertainment.
Gary Seagraves helped keep the children entertained meantime with his wonderful magician skills, and cute bunny!
Steph’s dad was the obvious choice for all her printing requirements, including the menus, as he owns Minto Branding.
The favours were a lovely personal touch, home made raspberry gin, courtesy of Steph’s mum and dad and made at Broom Lodge!
Hudsons catering did not disappoint, providing guests with a fabulous meal as always.
Fantastic band Mustang rounded off the evening, after the most perfect day!
We wish Steph, Darren and Poppy the most wonderful future together, although I think this is without doubt!
