Amber and Barry wedding at Glen Tanar Ballroom

Amber and Barry wedding at Glen Tanar Ballroom

The wedding ceremony was held in the lovely intimate candlelit setting of St Lesmo Chapel, which is just so full of character.

What a fabulous wedding day we had with Amber and Barry and their family and friends at Glen Tanar last weekend.

It’s been a while since we photographed a wedding at Glen Tanar, and it was certainly wonderful to be back!

Amber and Barry were a very enthusiastic couple from the first day we met them, and true to form they were just the best sports on the day!

The wedding was so personal and just the perfect mix of fun, laughter and emotion from everyone. You certainly would never have guessed that the rain barely stopped all day!

Amber had mentioned to us what a lovely and helpful coordinator Shona from Glen Tanar had been, and Shona’s commitment and friendship to the couple was evident throughout the day.

Amber looked simply stunning in her wedding gown purchased at Avorio, and her lovely bridesmaids complimented her perfectly in their pale pink dresses.

The girl’s bouquets were just gorgeous and were provided by Flowers by Lesley in Stonehaven. Lesley also provided the lovely table flowers and a stunning floral display in the Ballroom.

The handsome groom and his groomsmen hired their kilt outfits from Georgian Dress Hire.

The wedding ceremony was held in the lovely intimate candlelit setting of St Lesmo Chapel, which is just so full of character. Amber and her Dad were piped in by family friend Daniel.

After the ceremony it was off to the gorgeous lake setting to capture some lovely moments with our bride and groom.

Guests were very well looked after back at the ballroom where they enjoyed refreshments. Going down a storm were Barry’s mum’s home bakes. A particular favourite with a certain photographer was the aero tray bake!

As well as refreshments there was fabulous afternoon entertainment provided by singer Myke Black and Rich Gordon on the sax.

Other lovely personal touches at the wedding included Amber’s Dad’s vintage Jaguar which was the wedding car, his gin bar, whisky barrels and message bike. The beautiful wedding cake was also made by Amber’s brother’s girlfriend Chloe!

Hudson’s Catering provided a fabulous meal and service as always, and the only thing left to do was to dance the night away to the superb band Callenish, who provided a wonderful mix of ceilidh and contemporary music.

We wish this lovely couple all the very best for a fantastic future together, and hope that our photographs will always provide them with a lasting memory of their perfect day!
