Saturday was a lovely change for us, as we were both shooting, and attending, a family wedding up in Elgin.
It was great to be shooting at a new location, and in particular the stunning Elgin Cathedral, and it was also lovely to be spending time with our family.

Despite reports of possible rain, we did not see one drop, and really had the best weather ever, for both photographs and relaxing.

Rachel looked simply stunning in her Maggie Sottero gown which she purchased at Avorio Bridal.
Rachel’s two bridesmaids, her sisters Ruth and Sarah, wore beautiful deep pink Hayley Paige dresses also from Avorio.

Paul and his best man, brother Daniel, wore their own kilts, while the groomsmen hired from McCalls.

Friends and family gathered at Elgin Baptist Church for a lovely ceremony conducted by the Reverend Graham Swanson, who Paul and Rachel have known for many years.

Next it was time to head to Elgin Cathedral with the newlyweds to make the most of this dramatic location.

Friends and family gathered at the lovely Mansfield hotel where they mingled and relaxed outdoors over canapes and prosecco.

The function suite looked beautiful, with lovely table centres made by bride and groom and their families.
The theme was Paris, which is a special place for the couple, as it was there that Paul proposed to Rachel!

We all enjoyed a fabulous meal, before a wonderful ceilidh.
The band, headed by Mhairi Marwick, are friends of the bride and groom, and were just superb.

The evening was rounded off with a bit of sparkler fun for the guests as the couple headed off.

We hope that Paul and Rachel are having a fabulous honeymoon, and we wish them both all the best for a long and happy future together in their new home in Aberdeen!

We had a gorgeous day on Friday for the lovely wedding of Suzie and Gary at St Matthew and St George Church and Meldrum House.

Suzie looked stunning in her beautiful Maggie Sottero gown purchased at Avorio bridal.
Bridesmaids Liz, Becky, Maisie and Amy complimented Suzie beautifully in their navy Coast dresses.
Maisie is Gary’s daughter, and she looked so grown up, and was just the perfect bridesmaid.
Flower girl Ellie completed this lovely ladies line up and added lots of cute factor!

Groom Gary wore his own kilt outfit, which is the Ancient Hunting muted MacDonald, while the groomsmen hired from Georgian Dress Hire.

Friends and family gathered in the lovely St Matthew and St George Church for a beautiful intimate ceremony.
Gary’s son Baxter played the very important role of ring bearer, and what an excellent job he did aged only seven!
In attendance also, was the couple’s lovely dog Mr Brodie, without whom the occasion would not have been complete.

It was back to Meldrum House for huge celebrations and time for all guests to relax and mingle.

There were lots of children at this wedding, and what stars they were all day long.
They all had such a great time and behaved so very well!

Talented harpist Marie Main entertained everyone as they all enjoyed afternoon scones!

We enjoyed time photographing Suzie and Gary, who are a very fun loving couple, in and around the lovely Meldrum House.

The ballroom looked beautiful and had a lovely rustic theme.

The wedding cake, which was made by the very talented Kirsty from Cakes by Kirsty, was just superb.
The attention to detail on the cake toppers was just fantastic!

A lovely meal was enjoyed by all, before everyone was entertained by the great band Bahookie.

Lovely couple and such a lovely day!

We wish Suzie, Gary, Maisie and Baxter all the best for a wonderful future together!

It was a lovely blue sky day on Saturday for the wedding of Emma and Craig at Echt Church and Ardoe House Hotel.

Emma and her bridesmaids got ready at Emma’s mum and dad’s farm, whilst Craig and the guys enjoyed a relaxed pre wedding photoshoot on Craig’s family farm.

Family and friends gathered at Echt Church to join Emma and Craig in their lovely wedding ceremony.

Emma looked stunning in her Ronald Joyce gown which she purchased at Avorio Bridal, and she was complimented by her four lovely bridesmaids Laura, Nicola, Susan and Kate who wore lovely pink dresses from Our Day Bridal.
Beautiful little daughter Amy, along with cousins Logan and Ellie certainly added the cute factor, and were so well behaved.

Craig wore his own Weathered Scott Tartan kilt, while the groomsmen hired the Weathered Robertson from Haddo Highlandwear.

After the ceremony it was time to head to Ardoe House to celebrate.

We enjoyed a lovely photoshoot with bride and groom in and around the lovely grounds of Ardoe House, before heading to the ballroom for a lovely meal.

Flowers by Judith had provided beautiful flowers for the room, as well as providing the girls with stunning bouquets.
As well as a lovely cake from Annies Cakes, Emma’s Granny provided a lovely fruit cake and a chocolate cake, adding a lovely personal touch.
Favours were pin badges, signifying donations made to Archie Foundation and Clan.

All that was left to do was enjoy great entertainment from band Last Resort.

We wish Emma, Craig and Amy all the best for a fantastic future together!

Saturday was a lovely change for us, as we covered the wedding of Steph and Darren at Steph’s family home, Broom Lodge in Inverurie.
This marquee wedding was set in the beautiful grounds of Broom Lodge, as it had always been Steph’s dream to be married at home in this fabulous setting.

Steph and Darren have an adorable little girl, Poppy, and she and cousin Charlie, who were clearly just the closest of friends, had the best day ever!
The lovely relaxed home setting was just perfect for friends and family alike to mix and enjoy each others company.

Steph looked amazing in her Verise gown, which was a romantic and elegant A line gown with embroidered lace and tulle, embellished with pearls and glass beads. She purchased it locally from Midnight Elegance, where she also purchased her lovely silver Christina Wu bridesmaids gowns.
The girls were assisted on the day by Kathy herself, from Midnight Elegance.
The handsome groom and his groomsmen sourced their Hebridean Heather tartan kilt outfits from McCalls.

Bride Steph’s dad Bob and her new husband Darren, are both keen motorbike enthusiasts, so of course the bikes played a part in this lovely wedding day.
The guys enjoyed a fun shoot before the wedding with their motocross bikes, and Steph arrived for the ceremony in style on the back of dad’s Triumph motorbike, which just happens to be a replica of the bike used by Evel Knievel!
Fortunately dad kept both wheels on the ground on this occasion!
Lovely to see these quirky personal touches added to the wedding day.

After a lovely ceremony in one marquee, it was off for some more photo opportunities, before everyone gathered in the large marquee for the evening entertainment.

Gary Seagraves helped keep the children entertained meantime with his wonderful magician skills, and cute bunny!

Steph’s dad was the obvious choice for all her printing requirements, including the menus, as he owns Minto Branding.
The favours were a lovely personal touch, home made raspberry gin, courtesy of Steph’s mum and dad and made at Broom Lodge!

Hudsons catering did not disappoint, providing guests with a fabulous meal as always.

Fantastic band Mustang rounded off the evening, after the most perfect day!

We wish Steph, Darren and Poppy the most wonderful future together, although I think this is without doubt!

See below for a round up of all the suppliers chosen by the couple to help make their dreams come true!

Saturday saw us at St Thomas’ Church in Aboyne and Coo Cathedral, for the lovely wedding of Kylie and Lee.

This was our first trip to Coo Cathedral, and what a lovely venue it was.

We first met Kylie and Lee and their lovely little boy Gabriel earlier this year at their pre wedding shoot.
This was a fun family session, and even gran joined in!

The couple met in Paris when Kylie was travelling and Lee was working.
Lee is originally from Essex, and Kylie from Australia, so it was a chance meeting indeed!
Romance blossomed, and the couple settled in Aberdeen.

Kylie chose a gorgeous Oscar Lili gown for her special day, which she purchased in Edinburgh from La Novia.
The lovely Bridesmaids gowns came from Australia.

Lee and his groomsmen sourced their Royal Pride kilt outfits from McCalls.

The wedding ceremony was held in the beautiful St Thomas’ Church in Aboyne, before friends and family headed out to Coo Cathedral to celebrate with bride and groom.

The weather was kind, so we were able to enjoy the gorgeous Aboyne Estate, including the backdrop of the lovely Aboyne Castle.

Guests were very well looked after, enjoying both gin and prosecco from the fun and quirky Tipple in a Tuk Tuk van!
The candy cart went down well too, as well as the fun Photobooth from Sillysnapz.

The cathedral was beautifully decorated with lots of lovely rustic touches, and beautiful flowers.

The cake, which was provided by Fondant Cake Design, was topped with a fabulous fun topper made by the talented Cakes by Kirsty.
It certainly raised a few laughs from the guests of the new Mr and Mrs Moles!

Country Flavours provided the fantastic meal enjoyed by everyone.

Entertainment from the Veronas provided a great selection of music to round off the perfect day.

We wish Kylie, Lee and Gabriel all the best for a fantastic future together.

See below for all the suppliers who contributed to this very lovely wedding.
